Lesson
Cumulative frequency (CF) is the running total of frequencies up to a certain class. It shows how many observations fall below a particular value. Two types exist: "less than CF" and "more than CF". CF tables help determine medians, quartiles, and percentiles, which describe the distribution’s overall shape.
