Ratios can be simplified by dividing both terms by their highest common factor (HCF), just like simplifying tions./A simplified ratio shows the most reduced form of comparison, making calculations easier. For example, 50: 20 simplifies to 5: 2. Ratios can also be made equivalent by multiplying or dividing both terms by the same number.
