Lesson
The sine of an angle is the ratio of opposite side to hypotenuse, cosine is adjacent over hypotenuse, and tangent is opposite over adjacent. These ratios uniquely determine the angle’s steepness and allow calculations even without measuring tools. As the angle increases from 0° to 90°, sine increases, cosine decreases, and tangent rises sharply.
Learning objectives
Understand complementary angle identities in the Trigonometry chapter.
Connect the idea with formulas, examples, and exam-style questions.
Use flashcards, notes, MCQs, and LAQs to check readiness.
