Lesson
Shares represent tional/ownership in a company. When a person buys shares, they become a part-owner and gain certain rights such as voting in meetings, receiving dividends, and sharing in the company’s growth. Companies issue shares to raise money for expansion, modernization, research, and other business needs. The total capital of the company is divided into equal units called shares, and the people who buy these units are known as shareholders.
