Lesson
A quadratic equation is an equation in which the highest power of the variable is 2, usually written in the form ax² + bx + c = 0, where a, b, and c are real numbers and a ≠ 0. The presence of the x² term gives quadratics their characteristic U-shaped graphs when plotted as parabolas. These equations appear frequently in real-life situations involving area, motion, optimisation, and symmetrical patterns.
