Lesson
Mensuration deals with measuring physical quantities such as length, area, surface area, and volume. In₃D shapes, surface area measures how much material is needed to cover the outside of the solid, while volume measures how much space is enclosed inside it. Every solid—cube, cuboid, cylinder, cone, sphere—has distinct formulas for TSA (Total Surface Area), CSA (Curved Surface Area), and volume.
Learning objectives
Understand cones, spheres, and hemispheres in the Mensuration chapter.
Connect the idea with formulas, examples, and exam-style questions.
Use flashcards, notes, MCQs, and LAQs to check readiness.
