Lesson
Many geometric problems require satisfying more than one condition at a time. In such cases, we find each locus separately and then determine the common region or intersection of both loci. This intersection represents the set of points that satisfy all conditions simultaneously. For example, a point that is both at a fixed distance from a point and lies on a line must be located precisely where the circle and the line intersect.
Learning objectives
Understand combining loci in the Loci chapter.
Connect the idea with formulas, examples, and exam-style questions.
Use flashcards, notes, MCQs, and LAQs to check readiness.
