Lesson
One of the most important ideas in inequations is the reversal rule. When you multiply or divide both sides of an inequality by a negative number, the inequality sign must be flipped—for example, from > to < or from ≤ to ≥. This happens because multiplying by a negative reverses the number order on the number line.
Learning objectives
Understand number-line representation in the Linear Inequations chapter.
Connect the idea with formulas, examples, and exam-style questions.
Use flashcards, notes, MCQs, and LAQs to check readiness.
