Lesson
A circle is defined as the set of all points that are at a fixed distance (radius) from a central point. Important terms include radius, diameter, chord, arc, sector, and segment. The diameter is twice the radius and represents the longest chord of the circle. A chord connects any two points on the circumference, while the arc is simply a curved portion of the boundary. Sectors and segments divide the circle into meaningful parts.
